Welcome to runiel! This Privacy Policy explains how DNAI (hereinafter "Company", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use runiel. By using runiel, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect We collect information to provide and improve our services. This includes:

• a. Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: Details you provide when creating an account, such as your name, email address, and password.
  • Content Data: Text, images, video frames, or other content you upload or capture into runiel for analysis and planning.
  • Conversation Data: Messages you send during AI-assisted planning sessions, including your responses to AI-generated questions, feedback on generated content, and any information you voluntarily share during conversations.
  • Episode Data: Specific personal experiences, stories, and events you share during conversations, which are stored separately to improve future content recommendations and script generation.
  • Billing Information: Payment details if you purchase a paid plan (processed securely by third-party payment processors; your credit card information is not stored directly on our servers).

• b. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data: We track interactions within the service, such as features used, time spent on the platform, and navigation behavior.
  • AI-Generated Profiles ("AI Memo"): Based on your conversations, our AI automatically creates and maintains a profile summarizing your preferences, content style, filming environment, and creative constraints. This profile is organized by content channels you create and is used to personalize recommendations.
  • Session Metadata: We record which AI model processed your request, which pipeline stage was active, and the sequence of AI operations performed during your session.
  • Device Information: Details like your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Cookies & Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience and analyze usage trends.

• c. Information from Third Parties

  • If you connect external social accounts (e.g., Google login) or external services, we may collect essential data necessary to integrate these services within runiel.
  • Instagram (via Meta): If you connect your own Instagram Business or Creator account, we access your profile information, your posts and Reels, their performance data, and your audience information through Meta's official Instagram API. We use this only to provide AI-powered analysis of your own content to you, and never for advertising or for sharing with marketers.

2. How We Use Your Information We use your data to:

• Provide and improve runiel's services.
• Personalize AI-driven content planning by referencing your stored episodes, preferences, and channel-specific AI Memos.
• Generate content on your behalf (scripts, storyboards, images) using AI services.
• Customize your user experience and provide trend insights.
• Process transactions and send purchase confirmations.
• Detect and prevent fraud or security issues.
• Communicate with you about updates, promotional offers, and customer support.
• Improve AI analysis quality by reviewing conversation patterns, pipeline usage data, and service interactions.
• Enhance AI-driven structural analysis features and derive statistics.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information We do not sell your personal data to third parties. However, we may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With Service Providers: We use trusted third-party vendors (e.g., payment processors, cloud hosting) to help us operate runiel.
• With AI Service Providers: To analyze content and generate planning materials, your data — including Instagram content you analyze — may be processed by Google (Gemini API) and OpenAI. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
• With Apify (content scraping): We use Apify to collect public data from the platforms you analyze (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and from your connected Instagram profile, in order to run content analysis and build your Instagram persona.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by applicable law or a lawful request by law enforcement, to enforce our policies, or to protect the rights of our users.
• In Business Transfers: If runiel (DNAI) is involved in a merger, acquisition (M&A), or sale of assets, your information may be safely transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Your Choices & Controls You have control over your data:

• Access & Update: You can directly modify your profile and personal information in your account settings.
• View & Edit AI Memo: You can view the AI-generated profile ("AI Memo") that summarizes your preferences and correct any inaccuracies at any time through the service interface or by informing the AI during conversations.
• Manage Episodes: You can view, edit, and delete any stored episodes through the Episode Library in the service.
• Manage Channels: You can create, switch between, rename, or delete content channels, each maintaining separate preferences and episode collections.
• Delete Chat History: You can request deletion of your conversation history at any time.
• Delete Account (Right to be Forgotten): You can request account deletion at any time, in which case your data will be securely destroyed.
• Opt-Out of Communications: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the 'Unsubscribe' link at the bottom of the emails.
• Manage Cookies: You can adjust your browser settings to manage or decline cookies.

5. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

Our service uses AI to automatically create and maintain a profile ("AI Memo") based on your conversations. This profile includes your content preferences, filming capabilities, creative constraints, and target audience information.

This automated profiling is used solely to:

• Recommend relevant reference videos for your content planning.
• Generate personalized scripts and storyboards.
• Avoid recommending content that does not match your situation or preferences.

You have the right to:

• View your AI-generated profile at any time.
• Correct any inaccuracies by telling the AI during a conversation or editing directly through the service interface.
• Request that automated profiling be stopped for your account.
• Object to specific profiling decisions.

6. Data Security We take security seriously and use industry-standard measures to protect your data. However, no internet transmission method is 100% secure, so we encourage you to use strong passwords and stay vigilant in managing your account.

7. Data Retention We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

• Conversation data and episodes are retained for as long as your account is active, or until you request their deletion.
• AI-generated content (scripts, storyboards, images) is retained for the duration of your active session and may be stored permanently if you choose to save it.
• AI Memos are retained until the associated channel is deleted or your account is terminated.
• Instagram data is retained only while the account stays connected. When you disconnect the account, remove runiel from your Instagram settings, or delete your runiel account, it is all deleted — without undue delay and within 30 days at the latest (PIPA Article 21).
• Payment records are retained as required by applicable e-commerce laws.

We will securely destroy your data once the retention purpose is fulfilled.

8. Third-Party Links & Services runiel may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., YouTube, Instagram). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites and encourage you to review them separately.

9. International Data Transfers As runiel is a global service, if you access it from outside South Korea, your data may be transferred, stored, and processed in the country (or cloud region) where our servers are located.

10. Children's Privacy runiel is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or laws. We will notify you in advance of any material changes via email or service announcements.

12. Data Deletion (Instagram & Meta) runiel accesses Instagram data through Meta's official Instagram API and complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. Data received from Meta is used only to provide the service to the account owner and is never transferred to any third party except the processors disclosed in Section 3.

You can delete the Instagram data we hold in any of the following ways. In every case we delete all data from the connected account (profile, content, performance data, persona, and the access token), without undue delay and within 30 days at the latest (PIPA Article 21):

• In runiel: Settings → Account → "Connected Instagram accounts" → Disconnect. Deletion is immediate.
• From Instagram: Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites → remove "runiel". Meta notifies us and we delete the data automatically.
• Delete your runiel account: Settings → Account → Delete Account. All Instagram data is removed along with your account.
